Founded by Elysia Raphael, NYX Social has grown to meet their client’s needs to offer more than purely social media. Having worked across public relations, digital marketing, creative agencies and communications industries since 2009, both in-house and agency side, it seemed obvious to Elysia to offer end-to-end solutions. Combining her passion for words, detail, creativity and fascination with the sky – when the team landed on the name NYX – it “felt right”. NYX was the Greek goddess of night; a strong, independent woman, who was well respected and one of the first-born elemental gods.
The NYX team geek out on data to shape all their decisions, AB testing, pulling things apart and attacking projects or problems from every angle. Digital marketing is the perfect blend of psychology, number crunching, analytics, creativity, evaluation, PR, marketing and copywriting. It’s a constantly changing landscape that requires the team to keep its finger on the pulse and ahead of the game.

We wanted to improve our social programme – we were operating based on individual experience and felt that we were doing okay but didn't really understand how to take it to the next level. Elysia ran a two-day intensive with us (day one aimed at beginner to intermediate and the other from intermediate to advanced). My entire marketing team attended both sessions and overall I'd say that the social lights were turned on. We really didn't understand what we didn't know and had the opportunity to discuss in detail, ask all the obvious and not so obvious questions and without reservation, it was a highly beneficial learning session. Elysia was patient as we worked our way through the understanding and she took the time to explain where needed. We'll be running another session in the future as this space is constantly changing and we now know we need to keep learning.
I recently partnered with Elysia on a job that started with an audit and strategy, then further developed into a 4 hour training workshop. Elysia was fantastic at every stage, her knowledge, expertise and professionalism was second to none. She brought a fresh and well-rounded perspective to a challenging brief and equipped the social team with the tools and insights to successfully execute their newly formed strategy. I also personally learnt a lot which was an additional bonus!
