Since 2015, NYX Social has worked with startups through to global brands, helping businesses understand and grow in the digital space. From developing strategies to help clients define and see success, to managing client’s paid media and achieving better results than their previous media buying agencies – NYX Social don’t settle for mediocre. We love what we do – the crazy, fast-paced, continuously changing world that is digital and social. We also love our clients and the friendships we form with them. Not just the “falling in love” stage when a new account kicks off and there are so many ideas and so much excitement, but knowing the account and team really well.  When you combine what you love with people you love, you don’t want to be mediocre.

NYX has worked with a variety of clients, such as Bride Australia, Glowpear, Tile Cleaning Experts, Spirit of Tasmania, GE, Telstra, iSelect, Athletics Australia, Dubai Tourism, Foxtel, Pepsi, Airbnb, and more.

Founded by Elysia Raphael, NYX Social has grown to meet their client’s needs to offer more than purely social media. Having worked across public relations, digital marketing, creative agencies and communications industries since 2009, both in-house and agency side, it seemed obvious to offer end-to-end solutions. Combining her passion for words, detail, creativity and fascination with the sky – when the team landed on NYX – it “felt right”. NYX was the Greek goddess of night;  a strong, independent woman, who was well respected and one of the first-born elemental gods.

The NYX team geek out on data to shape all their decisions, AB testing, pulling things apart and attacking projects or problems from every angle. Digital marketing is the perfect blend of psychology, number crunching, analytics, creativity, evaluation, PR, marketing and copywriting. It’s a constantly changing landscape that requires the team to keep its finger on the pulse and ahead of the game.

Stay inspired. Stay informed. Ask questions.

Social media is a constantly evolving process and it’s important that you build a roadmap for success. Otherwise, it’s like building a house based on your ‘gut feeling’ and hoping it stays upright. Don’t waste your money with a scattergun approach to marketing.

By looking at what you do, alongside your competitors, we can get an understanding of where your brand currently sits and where you need to improve

By setting a clear goal, we now have something specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound.

By creating a strategy, we have a clear and tangible plan of action designed to achieve a long-term or overall aim.

This looks at the mechanics in how to implement the creative ideas, strategy and campaign set up

  • TEST

We test and learn against benchmarks and objectives, continuously optimising to better results and reach the original objective we set out to achieve.

10 Reasons to Outsource your Social Media

What’s your marketing strategy looking like on Instagram and Facebook? Or are you just posting what you ‘think’ looks good and gets likes without a clear marketing direction?

Do you know how to target the right audience, or people who look like your existing customers? Or are you seeing lots of spam accounts like your posts, or worse – no one?

From startups and fashion labels to global brands, such as Dubai Tourism, I’ve worked with various clients over my past seven years in marketing and advertising. I’m now helping small businesses that may not have the resources to consult with agencies so they can leverage the power of this marketing channel.

Get back to focusing on what you know best – your businesses!

Here are 10 reasons to outsource your social media:

  • They’re experts – their job is social media 5 – 7 days a week – they’re on top of algorithm changes, best practices, industry changes and best practices
  • Good posts require research – finding valuable, relevant and interesting content and writing good copy requires time
  • Results should be tracked, interpreted and refined
  • Time – If time is money, how much time will you spend training yourself up and will you be at the same level as an expert?
  • Images and graphic design – know the correct sizing, use graphic design, know what photos work and how to correctly attribute
  • Choose the right platform
  • Engage with your audience in constructive and meaningful conversations
  • Social media affects your SEO (how you rank on Google)
  • Advertise – know what optimal cost per click (CPC) you should be paying, what headlines and copy works better and how to target, track and optimise them efficiently
  • Ongoing commitment – it’s not ‘one-off’ advertising and requires commitment and consistency.

Social media marketing is about providing a positive experience, increasing your ‘digital footprint’ and growing your referral base. Today’s consumers want to feel comfortable and connected with the companies they do business with. Having a welcoming and professional presence on social sites is a great start!
